Professionally coaching endurance sports since January 2005, Coach Consuela “Sway” Lively has successfully guided hundreds of athletes in their determination to meet personal aspirations. Whether they are running their first mile, or competing at the Kona Ironman World Championships in Hawaii, Coach Sway uses her intuition, spunk, and experience to help her athletes progress until they reach their ultimate goal.

No stranger to an active lifestyle, Coach Sway transitioned smoothly into the world of competitive triathlons/endurance sports after her participation as an avid cyclist. By earning her USAT All American status in 2008 and 2009, qualifying for the Boston Marathon, and finishing on the podium in her last three Ironman distance triathlons, Coach Sway is one of the top competitive age group triathletes in the nation. In addition, Consuela Lively honourably represented Team USA at the ITU World Championships in Holland (2008), and has since qualified to represent TEAM USA again in 2011. In 2010, Coach Sway stepped into Ultra Endurance by competing in the Croom Fool’s Run 50k and Ultraman Canada. An advocate of dedication and hard work, both Coach Sway’s personal and coaching achievements are simply results of her positive attitude and persistence. She ended her 2011 race season at the Ultraman World Championships in Hawaii Nov 25-27, 2011 finishing 3rd female and 17th overall in 29hr35min. Her 2012 race schedule includes Frogman 5k Swim, The Long Haul 100k Trail Run, Umstead 100mile Trail Run, Ultraman Canada, Ultraman United Kingdom and Ultraman World Championships in Hawaii, along with other races throughout the year.

In addition to coaching and competing, Coach Sway is an advocate of healthy lifestyles in her community. She is the Race Director for The Puzzle Run 5k/10k which supports The Autism Society of Greater Orlando (ASGO.org), is an Ambassador for Girls on the Run (GirlsontheRun.org), and dedicates many hours to volunteering throughout the year in her community. Coach Sway feels that as an athlete/coach the most important part is the message that can be shared with those you interact with. Encouraging someone to take their first step to reaching a goal is a life-changing event. Coach Sway’s race season for 2012 is dedicated to promoting the Girls on the Run Program (www.girlsontherun.org) for Elementary/Middle School aged girls.

Quoting Coach Sway when asked what success is: "It is difficult to put into words the feeling you get when you watch one of your athletes cross the finish line with a smile on their face, tears in their eyes and a look of great accomplishment. Knowing I had a small part in getting them to the start line equals SUCCESS!!"

Always encouraging her athletes to work hard, the backbone of Coach Sway’s instruction is to ensure that her clients enjoy the journey first and foremost. Not only do Coach Lively’s various training plans include extensive groundwork in swimming, biking and running, but weights, stretching, and nutrition are other additions to her program, all geared towards properly fuelling and preparing her athletes for whatever their endeavours may be. Coach Sway looks forward to making your endurance sport adventure a life changing experience.
